I didn’t grow up in church- at least not consistently. My father took all the classes he needed in order to marry my mom in the Catholic Church, which aligned with her upbringing and the needs of her and her family at the time. I was baptized in an Episcopal church and received my first communion in a little start up church in the basement of an Episcopalian priest. In middle school an Assemblies of God church started meeting in the elementary school across the street from my house. That was when I first felt drawn to what I believe was the Holy Spirit, although I was also admittedly drawn to really cute boys in the youth…
